We are Premodern Ruhrgebiet and will be hosting the Qualifier Event for Germany as part of the NRW Championsship.

This is the final event of our monthly premodern event held in the same location.

The venue opens at 10:00.

In addition to the 25€ there is a 7€ charge for the location. The 7€ gives you access to unlimited softdrinks as well as tea and coffee all day. There is also the possibility to grab a meal there. As such, bringing your own food is sadly prohibited.

There are parking garages all around the venue, though the one we recommend is Parkhaus am Weberplatz Wolf GmbH.

After paying for the judge, all of the entry fee + additional tournament fees that have accumulated throughout the year will be put towards the pricepool. We anticipate to have a payout of around 100%. Not that assuming 64 players, prizes will be paid out to the top 24.

Proxies: The event allows an unlimited number of proxies and of course gold bordered cards. We only ask that any printed proxy is printed in a decent quality (i.e. no black&white/low ink proxies) and INDISTINGUISHABLE from any other card your deck. Please check this before the tournament to avoid any issues.

For now the Slots will be capped at 64 players. We hope, yet cannot guarantee, to make additional slots available.

Welcome to the 1st UK Premodern Nationals held in London AKA The Goblin Festival! . This Event is capped at 100 players in an iconic venue above the Red Lion pub in Leytonstone, East London. The Ballroom venue has a private bar, toilets and is exclusively ours for the day. The pub will be serving hot food available on site all day. Doors will open at 9.30am for a 10am Start.

What's included 1 Ticket to main event plus a rebound event option. The Rebound event is capped to 32 players and will be on a first come first serve basis. Players must have dropped from the main event before they can register for the Rebound event. All players will also receive 1 main event participation card.

Main Event Prize Pool

1st Place - Mox Diamond, Altered Show and Tell card by Jeff Laubenstein. The winner will also receive unique winners trophy.

2nd Place - Survival of the Fittest, Recurring Nightmare signed by Jeff Laubenstein.

All Top 8 players of the main event with receive a Top 8 patch and an Invitational to the European Premodern Masters for 2026.

Guest Artist - I'm pleased to announce we have the fantastic and wonderfully talented JEFF LAUBENSTEIN with us at the event!

Gordon Andersson will be with us and streaming the main event on his Wak Wak channel.

Rules: The rules of Premodern, including the legal sets and banned cards, can be found at premodernmagic.com/rules.

Decklists will be required for submission prior to the main event.

Reprints/proxies: All tournament legal card and Gold border/World Championship cards ARE allowed. You are NOT allowed to play any other type of proxy cards. All players are expected to make sure that their cards cant be recognized from the backside. This is especially important when using WCD cards.

Judges: The Tournament will be held at Regular REL and we will have multiple judges onsite. Players are expected to act in a friendly and respectful manner. Any unsporting or aggressive conduct will not be tolerated and that player will be disqualified and removed the event/building.

Sunday 17th May: The Brothers of Fire will be holding an Old School X-point event from Midday at the same venue. Entry will be £10 with all proceeds going to charity. More details on this event to follow but you can check out the format on http://xpointoldschool.com

To finalise your registration, payment must have taken place. If the event is fully booked you will be notified and added to a waiting list. Preregistratrion will end on 28/02/2026, refunds will only be possible up to this point.

Decklists will be mandatory at the tournament! We will be using SpiceRack - https://www.spicerack.gg/ . The event link will be provided once we received payment for your registration. After paying for the judge and organisational costs, all of the entry fees will be put towards the pricepool.
